With having a chronic illness, it comes with a lot of changes including lifestyle, activities, and your body. When I first started having symptoms of my chronic illness, I lost around 20 lbs in about 1.5 months. Then, between COVID and worsening chronic pain in my legs, my activity level decreased significantly and I started gaining weight. Now, I am losing weight but gaining muscle because of my physical therapy. While I learned to accept my body through all these changes, I didn’t always love my body.
That’s where Bushbalm comes in. First, let me start by saying this is not sponsored, I found this company back in 2021 and have been using their product ever since.
Curve Cream
This is the product I tried third but I am putting it first in the list because it is my absolute favourite product from Bushbalm, which is saying a lot because I love everyone I have tried. I got the curve cream free because it was a promotional deal where I spent X amount of dollars and got a bottle for free. I probably wouldn’t have bought it without trying it first but now that I’ve tried it, I am very going back. The weight loss, weight gain, and now muscle increase has caused a lot of movements to the skin and I ended up with stretch marks. If anyone knows me, I am pale white which means stretch marks can show up a really bright purple which made me feel very self-conscious. I have attached pictures below of the progression of my stretch marks on my thigh but they went from a bright purple to 100% completely faded now. I would apply this at night before going to bed and it only took a few days to start noticing a change. But like I said, now, which is only been a few months (now less consistent application because I fell out of my nighttime routine), the bright purple stretch marks are completely gone. This product alone helped my confidence significantly because I am not nervous about my stretch when I wear a swimsuit!
Nude Ingrown Hair Oil
The first product I started using was their Ingrown Hair Oil, in the Nude line because I have sensitive skin. I know they now offer different scents and typically have a seasonal scent as well but the nude is the only line I have tried. I used to get really bad razor burn and ingrown hairs but since using these products that has reduced SIGNIFICANTLY!
I apply the oil right after getting out of the shower and sometimes I apply it a few times throughout the day too! When I think of oil, I think of ruined clothing but it doesn’t! If you give it a minute or two to soak into the skin, it doesn’t leave any marks on your clothing!
Nude Ingrown Hair Exfoliating Scrub
The second product I started using was their Ingrown Hair Exfoliating Scrub in the Nude line, again because I have sensitive skin. I originally wanted to try this because I made a homemade scrub and it was really rough on my skin and left a weird residue. This product did not disappoint! The sugar they use is extremely fine which means it does not irritate the skin as much (or at least I don't notice any irritation). I use this about twice a week when I am in the shower and it keep my skin fresh and prepped for whenever I decide I want to shave.
Roller Rescue
This was the fourth product I tried from Bushbalm and bought it because I had complete faith in any product they create! This has aloe, which I love but it has glycolic acid (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA) which I have heard good things about for helping remove dead skin. Additionally, the rolling ball was a cool feature I wanted to try! It is a metal ball, think a larger version of a ballpoint pen where the ball moves around and picks product up from the back and spreads it in the front. The fact that the ball is metal means that when you apply it, it feels cooler than your skin which gives an additional cooling effect, most likely helpful for any inflammation you may have. I use this product throughout the days after having shaved and once again, don’t have ingrown hairs or razor burn anymore!!
To summarize, I have used four products from Bushbalm which are the Curve Cream, the Nude Ingrown Hair Oil, the Nude Ingrown Hair Exfoliating Scrub, and the Roller rescue and I love them all. The curve cream is my favourite for stretch marks and actually works.
For shaving, I use the exfoliating scrub throughout the week to prep my skin for a shave, the oil right after drying off from shaving, and the roller rescue in the daytime the day after.

The products in the picture (going left to right) include: the Curve cream which is in an orange-peachy colour bottle, the ingrown hair oil which is a blue short bottle with a white lid that is sitting on top of the ingrown hair exfoliating scrub which is also blue and short but wide round container and with a white lid, and the roller rescue is on the far right and it is a dark blue bottle with a white lid.
