These self care products are recommended by me or our podcast guests! The "Shop" button takes you directly to their website to purchase. None of these products are sponsored, they are just our favourites from personal experiences.
Skin
Bushbalm
On the top of my favourite list for skin products. I use their exfoliating scrub, oil, and roller rescue for shaving and their curve cream for stretch marks! Check out my blog for a full review on their products but let me tell you, I love all of the ones I have tried!!
Rare Beauty
Rare Beauty is where I get all my makeup from. With accessible packaging, which comes in handy (pun intended), when my hands are weak or sore, they offer easy to use products that you feel good about using. Their products are vegan, cruelty free. Both their concealer and foundation offer great coverage and my favourite product, their mascara, makes people legitamently ask if I am wearing fake eye lashes! Finally, a portion of profit is dontated to the Rare Impact Fund which is a public charity raising money for mental health.
Skinfix
Skinfix is the brand I use for face wash and moisturizer. I use the Barrier+ collection which is great for sensitive, and trust me, I have very sensitive skin. It is also cruelty free and vegan, was tested recommended by unbiased dermatologist, it is also free from many ingredients found in beauty products such as fragrances, parabens, sulfates, essential oils, formaldehyde, and gluten. As someone who is celiac, I love that they specifically say it is free from gluten! It is also been allergy tested and pH balance so you know you are putting something good on your skin!
Bath Time
Epsom Salt
Dr. Teal is my favourite brand, but any epsom salts will do. Epsom salts help to relax and relieve pain from sore muscles and joints. Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate and just like taking magnesium orally to relax muscles, taking baths can also help! I take a bath before bed, sprinkle some epsom salts in the water, and sit back and relax! There are some epsom salts that are scented (my favourite is Eucalyptus & Spearmint) but you can get it unscented as well. Please consult your doctor before taking oral magnesium.
Foaming Soap
Once again, I love Dr. Teal's products but foaming soap is great to make a bubble bath! Not only does it add fun, enjoyable factor to your bath, but it can also have essential oils to help relax you! Once again, my favourite is the eucalyptus & spearmint foaming soap.
Bath Pillow
While it is a bad idea to fall asleep in bath, a bath pillow provides a cushon for your head so you can lean back and relax. It attaches to the bath through suction cups so it stays in place even if you move around! I like to lean back while watching a movie and relax!
